North river Fishing Report

Long Shot But Worth It

Went out to catch some holdover stripers in the north river. Fished a spot I've never been to.
Clear water deep water and fast current!

It was a long shot. No fish tho. I'm not surprised. Catchin a striper in January is tough unless your at the famous holdover spots!

I will be back in the spring catch the big bass that chase herring up the river! Night is goin to be fantastic!

  • Yea I hoped the y would find me. Maybe under some branches!
    Or in a basses mouth.

  • Yeah, the yak would have been insane! If you went in they would have found you in the spring, maybe!

  • I don't fish it often. I fish the cliffs and the mouth but never fish up the river! Ill be on it come march for holdovers!

  • I haven't fished the North in years. Used to do pretty good where it meets the South and outside near 3rd cliff.

  • Union street bridge is where I was fishing! Indian head river drive has a launch ramp!
I need to find a holdover spot somewhere local!

  • I bet the Taunton is holding fish. I was catching into Nov. until yard work took all my time.

  • Don any good launch spots in the river?

  • I wasn't fishin from my yak!
    I was fishin from shore.

  • Pretty dangerous thing in the river this time of the year. Lucky you got out of there without going in!
