Lake Boon, MA Fishing Report
Last Minute Larry
I had the day off from work today and had a variety of projects around the house to take care of but obviously i found time for a couple hour mid-day outing on Boon. The majority of the trip was slow, probably only 6 hits but I managed to land four of them, 3 bass were on the frog and 1 pickeral on the wacky worm. I was going to call it to get back to work but on the way back home I stopped at a mini cove that Jen had discovered on one of our last trips...she did real well landing three bass, all in the two pound range. So I figured why not give it a shot. A couple casts into the cove and my frog got mauled in the corner of the cove. The bass came screaming out of the shallows and tried to head down to the bottom when it got to the boat. After about 30 seconds it was time to net Larry. Brought her back to the launch for a couple photo's and measurements. Another great bass for the Wall of Fame- 20 inches and weighed in at 5 pounds 6 ounces. A lot of work the rest of the week but looking forward to Winthrop on Sunday and Boon again on Monday!
