  • Way to keep the trail going. Nice turnout for mid Summer. Congrats to everyone, especially the rookies.

  • Awesome video Ken!

  • With the cold weather the night before and the incoming storm, I expected the bite to be tough. Not that tough, though.

I should have stayed and fished the weeds all day, I think. I probably spent 30 minutes or so out there in the morning, and then another 30 at the end of the tournament. But after catching like 10 pickerel in a row right out the gate, all the rocks and docks looked pretty sweet! Haha.

I did catch one, my first keeper, in that shallow cove behind one of the islands, but I got no bites anywhere else besides the weeds, ripping a spinnerbait through them.

I don't know if I'd have caught any bigger bass out there, but I definitely would have caught more than three smaller bass.

Anyway, congrats to Blood and Tom and Joe! And Yao. Nice smallie!

Since I had my GoPro with me, I compiled a video of my crappy day. =)

  • I didn't know your Lunker was a smallie! Even more awesome!
