"Get Hooked on New York"

Hamblins Pond Details
Name:Hamblins Pond
Created By:reddog1970
Details:Took a trip to Hamblins Pond after work. My main target was smallmouth bass. I brought my fly rod to practice a little since I have not had much success fly fishing. Trout started hitting the surface, so I decided to give it a try. After what seemed like a long time, I gave up and put the fly rod down. I left the bead head wooly bugger in the water drifting about 10' behind the boat and went back to casting a crankbait. All of a sudden, my fly rod is sliding across the boat. I pick it up and fish on. After a battle that lasted over 5 minutes, I landed the biggest trout I have every caught. 19" 3 lb rainbow.
