Halfway.... To Jacobs Pond

Started the day today at Halfway Pond in Plymouth, fishing soft plastics and live shiners. Hooked up on a few Pickerel, and managed to haul in a small Snapping Turtle, which is surprising considering how crystal clean Halfway is. I always thought Snappers preferred murkier/muddier water with more vegetation. Oh well haha! Sadly we didn't hook up on any of those famous Halfway Larry's or Sally's. Always next time though! We did manage to hit up Jacobs Pond in Norwell, MA on our way home though, hooked up on a couple good Larry's and Pickerel. My friend Dave (dapar321 on MAfishfinder) caught his first 3lb+ Largemouth ever, he was pretty proud haha! Pics on my profile and his as well if you're interested. All in all not a bad day, could've been better; but also worse. I am happy!

  • We fish the rocky shoreline on the street, like he said. We also fish the lilly pads near the island as well as the little canal between the island and the mainland. Its an above average pond in my opinion, we slam fish everytime we go.

  • We fish from the rocks by the street. Before the place was swamped by plants we would fish from the dock. We've wanted to try it with a canoe.

  • What are you fishing out of at Jacobs? No motors allowed. I fish there out of a kayak. Nice pond but I don't find it to be above average.
