a very productive day in the early part of Jan. caught over 10 fish, all pickerel. had a breakoff though. something of size. really couldn't gain much. could definitely feel the weight. northern pike were stocked a few years back so i'm guessin' what it could have been. since then i've moved up to a heavier leader material. using 20# fluro with a number 3 circle hook. a good time was had by all (me) ha.
Been a pretty productive spot through out the years. Pond is attached to the much larger Snipatuit Pond by way of a channel . Watch out though, last area to freeze over. caught just about all warm water species, but pickerel, bass, and the occasional calico being the most abundant.
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a trip with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first trip has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second trip, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
a welcome site. not sure if anyone feels the same but some days i can get "sick" of chasing flags. i know this might sound stupid, there's been times when i never got a break. sweating my ass off running around like a crazy man. i like catching fish but spread out the flags so i can relax and enjoy a beverage. :-) 02/22/11 11:40 AM
