First Cast, First Brown Trout

So due to the nice weather, I decided to take a trip to Houghton's with my grandfather to see if we could catch a trout or two. We were using shiners for bait. We got down to the pond at about 11am. I cast out at about 20 feet to start, and a fish immediately hit my shiner. It turned out to be a 14 inch brown trout. I wanted to film it, but I brought it inshore pretty fast so I couldn't. I kept the fish and ate it the following night (it was very tasty!). I also hooked a baby pickerel, but it jumped and got off. All in all, a great day on the water.
