I caught this one in the spillway- about 10 feet from the waterfall, and put him into the big lake...hope i did the right thing. Figured he was too big to get eaten up...spinnerbait

3rd bass at lions lake today, got him at the other end of the lake with a skinny plastic frog looking thing with 2 long twisty legs. Cast it near the pipe, let.the lure fall to the bottom- 3 feet, i could see it fall, watched the bass eat it, hooked him right up!

Thought this thing was a bass - hooked him 25 feet from the waterfall, where the water was calmer

During the spring and fall, the Ledge often times produces a "bonus" fish at the end of a trip. For Cape Cod Bay anglers, giving the Ledge a quick "check" can often times be beneficial.

High St. Bridge
High St. Bridge
"The spot" is on the side of the bridge closest to Lower Mystic Lake. From the slabs of granite on the Medford side, cast across the river to the far side at the 12 o-clock position. Slowly work the bait down until it's on the bottom, about 10 feet out from shore, and slowly work the worm. There's a rock pile there I believe that that's where I find success with the Smallmouths. From the same position, you can make a cast to the 2 o'clock position about 30 feet out, letting the worm fall, but working it a bit more quickly, letting the bait suspend a bit. There's a grass bed in this area, and if you fish on the bottom there is a snag there. However, it appears to be a good place for Largemouth, so use a faster action on the retrieve.
