He was stuck in weeds for a while. Usually I'd just horse him out on braid but that's been getting boring so i went with 6 lb mono on a 20 reel

I love swimming jigs from banks

Throw it out. Let it hit bottom with rod tip up. Drop rod and reel up slack, lift tip up again and let swim until it hits bottom. I pop the rod a few times as the jig is swinging back toward me. It's basically like a pendulum kinda thing. Conserves energy from constant reeling and popping. As with all jig fishing, do your best bass pro imitation on the hook set.

Big Cat on Kiddie Zebco
Big Cat on Kiddie Zebco
Never caught giant saltwater game fish but I imagine this battle was analogous. I probably walk a mile all over the docks at a huge marina to play this guy out and finally land him from a floating dinghy dock because I had no net and it was low tide.

Little Bass Big Appetite
Little Bass Big Appetite
That's a huge Square Bill. As soon as it hit the water it felt like a 5 lb bass hit it. Turns out it was only about 1/4 lb. But he was pissed.

Medford Bass or Cedar Water Bass
Medford Bass or Cedar Water Bass
I think bass out in Medford and into Pineys look so pretty from the Cedar water lakes rather than the usual algae weed infested local ponds.
