With two days of august left i wanted to get a solid trip at one of my spots that's good in the summer. Was on the water by 7:00am and fished hard until about 4:00pm. Was concentrating on swimbait's and swimming a jig. Ended up with some great results and a crazy encounter.
Fish were feeding everyone. Bass could be caught at any depth in the BOW. So there was no real pattern. Just some productive lures. boated atleast 30lb bass between 1-5lbs and lost two that could of been 5+. Caught some angry pickerel and lost a GIANT! One of the biggest pickerel I've seen in a long time.
What made today a very special day was catching TWO BASS on ONE LURE!! Heard about it before and seen it youtube, but finally i had a first hand experience and a very good one indeed.
Awesome way to end the last of the summer days.
A good summer of bassin it's been. Just wish i caught a 7+ to end the summer. Still got the fall to kick some BASS!!
lol he does look like an ugly chick thats what i thought when i first saw him. so anyways here is a link to the actual official " largest bass ever cought on record" unfortunately for the dickhead (ill explain why he is a dick head in a sec) that cought it it dosent qualify as a new world record because it was fowl hooked and for a fish to count as an igfa record it has to be hooked in the mouth. now as for why he is a dickhead? what kind of an asshole holds up a 25lb fish entirely by its bottom jaw?!?! way to f*** up that fishes mouth retard...
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a trip with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first trip has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second trip, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
