Cold, Dark And Quiet
Brrrrr Glad the wind was up and over us this morning!!
Deaffisherman joined me at 4:30 am down the Lake for a couple hrs of Carp fishing. He's a great kid, he drove 1 hr to meet me and fish for maybe 2hrs dedication. He might still be there, give em hell Mark!!
4:45 we see the Muskrat swim bye and I tell him that as soon as we see that the Carp are usually right behind, and sure as snot, splash 6 ft out in front of us. No takers this morning, we did see a few big splashes, and either a Salmon or Brown was chasing the bait fish in the shallows. The next couple days look warm, I believe that when this fianlly happens the Bite will turn on!!
If anyone is looking to fish with someone, I would say message Deaffisherman, he will show up and Fish with ya. When he is not away at school.
lol sounds like a good time. i generally dont go out early in the morning cause thats when im coming home from the night before hahah! outta work at 1130 pm then its right to the lake and depending on if the bite is on ill get home around 330 or 4 when you guys are going out to get started lol. stood out in the dark from midnight til 330 am in my poncho slamming larrys lastnight, great times! muskie i gotta get out again with you carp hunting soon
Sounds like the beginning of a good murder mystery movie or book! It's been a while since I've been out on the water that early.
Also, it was blast to meet you muskiebigfish! Hopefully, I can go fishing with you sometime at later or different fish game.
Stopped fishing at 9am. Tried moved two different locations. had one line run. but no good hookset on it. Dang it! Anyway, I kept seeing those fish chasing something. So, I decided to use my trout set up to see what it is bite on. On my second cast, got small salmon on small spoon. But after that, nothing was happen at all. Wind is just got best of me.
It's not easy but well worth it!!
Awesome.Sounds like a great guy who really knows his fishing.Talk about dedication you are out fishing at 4:30 before work in cold wind.I've thought about getting up early to fish before work when I work on Sundays but I can't even get myself up to do that!Ha ha I'm to much of a night owl and enjoy my sleep ok maybe I'm a little lazy I confess!
