Carping In The Fog

Foggie as hell down the Lake this morning, and flat like a fresh scim of Black Ice was just made. Lots of leaves in the water made it interesting till the sun came up. Not alot going on early, 5ish or so, but around 6:16 that all changed. Bobbie (Kid that is usally there) showed up with his dad and rigged up for Rainbows. His choice of bait is Green Power Bait. They seem to LOVE IT!!!! He caught 6 Bows before 7am, all stocked but he was having a great time and then we noticed that the Carp had moved on in. Couple of Big splashes right out in front of us. Re Casted me rod and WHAAM Nice fight on a Smaller rod than I normally use for Carp 8 1/2 lbs not sure on length but the scale don't lie. Glad to see some action this late in the fall and what fun them Giants can be. But be warned, they can break your heart, your rod, your soul and everything else as long as your knot shooooooooting them DEAD..
