Ashland Reservoir

Parked on Chestnut Street and hiked down trail to water. Great access for shore fishing but too many people with dogs jumping in the water so we had to keep moving to get to a quieter area.

Ashland Reservoir Catch

  • # of Fish Caught: 6
  • Water Type: freshwater
  • Type of Fish: Largemouth Bass
  • Fish Length (Avg): 8 inches
  • Fish Weight (Avg): 1 lbs. 8 oz.
  • Bait Type: Worm Check Prices
  • Bait Details: 5" senko oxblood purple, 5" senko pumpkin w/black & green flecks. Big surprise was a new 1 I found, a 4" senko smoke pearl blue..got a fish every time with the new blue 1!!
  • Location Details: Park on Chestnut Street on side of road (signs say 2 hour parking) and hiked down the trail to the water. Big problem was too many people with unleashed dogs splashing around in the water scaring the fish. We had to change spots multiple times. Great shore access though.
