An A-1 Friday At The Stump

The kids were away with Grammy and Grampy, so I took to the water with my sister and her boyfriend this evening, at the A1 Site. My sister hammered a big one right on the island on the way toward the back, and then it was slow for a long while.

It was the calm before the storm.

Shortly after that slow period, I couldn't go more then two casts without catching a fish... mostly bass. 16 Bass, two pumpkinseeds, one crappie, one pickerel and one perch. Some of the bass were good size, including my largest of the season so far!

  • Yeah... it was a pretty special night. Just being on the water was awesome, but the wildlife (we saw a beaver, an otter, loads of huge swans...), the sunset and the hot air balloon was pretty cool.

  • Looks like a solid fishing trip...but the pics of the hot air balloon and that awesome sunset must have put the trip over the top. Gotta love moments like that !!!

  • Tough crowd! 1 Star? Sheesh. Apparently people are able to view the trip while it still in the process of loading the pictures? That seems counterproductive.
