6/7/14 - Avid Anglers @ Quaboag

Club tourney at my usual Co-Angler spot. I drew my buddy John. Water temp was up to 68. We started in South Pond. 10 minutes in we hear this weird scrathing noise. Look over and see a small Bear climbing down a tree in someones yard. It then climbed up on the deck, and pulled down the bird feeder. Crazy Stuff! With-in the 1st hour we found no sign of life in the water, so we headed to the River. We spent 3-1/2 - 4 hours in there. Still very tough fishing, but we were able to put a few in the boat. John got 2 on the jig, and I got 2 on a Boag Hog Bait 1/4oz swimjig, and 1 on a buzzbait. Losing faith in the production from the river, we headed back to South Pond. Right away I get one on a Swimbait. A little later John pulls one out from under a dock. Not far from there John spots 2 decent ones on beds guarding fry, and got both of them with some work to get his limit. Finally at about 2:40pm I get a 2lber on a senko to get my limit. 1 place was 11.35 with a 4.28 lunker, 2nd was John with 9.49lbs, 3rd was 9.31lbs, and I got 4th with 9.27lbs.
