I haven't made a trip in awhile, mostly because I haven't caught anything special in awhile. Nothing spectacular in this one, but I did get out 4 days in a row all over the place, between MA and NH. Got to check out a few new spots and give some other spots another go. Thursday evening met up with Rudedog at the Nashua River in Groton, fished near the boat launch as we only had a few hours. Ended up with a few small bass, lunker was probably 1.5-1 3/4. My biggest was only about 14" but it was really fat. Healthy fish in that river!
Friday morning got up early and headed to NH to fish some spots and relax for the weekend. Friday went to Powder Mill Pond in Greenfield, ended up with a nice 2 1/2 pounder on a senko near a stump. It got really windy and I was getting blown all over the place in my kayak, so I called it a day around noon.
Saturday fished the lake where we were staying at various times throughout the day, only caught a few dinks. I started throwing a black buzzbait around dusk and ended up with a pretty decent one, didn't weigh it, but probably around 2-2 1/4.
Sunday made it to Highland Lake, which is a good sized lake a mile down the road from us. It was raining off and on and it was actually pretty cold, so I only fished til about 930. Ended up with 3-4 keepers, mostly on senkos in the pads again. Biggest was 2lbs 14 oz.
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a trip with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first trip has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second trip, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
